Pious Exercises

Resolution: Today I will do everything possible to assist the souls of the faithful departed from
Africa. I also recommend myself to those who are entering heaven at this moment.

Thought for the day: "What profit would there
be for one to gain the whole world and forfeit his life?" (Matt. 16, 26).

Exercise: Make an act of contrition in union
with the souls in Purgatory, before a picture of the Sacred Heart.

Special intention: Pray for the soul richest in
merits.

Motive: The more exalted a soul is in heaven, the more effective will be its request for true love
of God for you.

Prayer: O Lord God, I pray You, by the Blood
which Your Son Jesus shed in the streets of Jerusalem, when He carried the Cross upon His
shoulders, deliver the souls in Purgatory, and especially that soul which is richest in merits
before You, so that it may magnify You and bless You forever. Amen.
