Now no man at the table
knew to what purpose He said this
unto him. For some thought, because Judas had the purse, that Jesus had said to
him: "Buy those
things which we have need of for the festival day"; or that he should give
something to the poor.
He therefore, having received the morsel, went out immediately. And it was
night.

And whilst they were at supper, Jesus took bread. And giving thanks, He blessed,
broke, and gave
[it] to His disciples, saying: "Take ye, and eat. This is My Body, which shall
be delivered for you.
Do this for a commemoration of Me."
And taking the chalice also, after He had supped, He gave thanks in like manner,
saying: "Drink ye
all of this. For this is My Blood of the New Testament, which shall be shed for
many unto remission
of sins. This do ye, as often as you shall drink, for the commemoration of Me,"
And He gave it to
them, and they all drank of it.

Jesus' Interior Prayer and Lamentation
My enemy hath spoken
evils against Me, and if he came in to see Me, he spoke vain things. His heart
gathered together iniquity to itself. He went out and spoke to the same purpose.
All my enemies whispered together against Me. They devised evils to Me. They
determined against Me
an unjust word: "Shall He that sleepeth rise again no more?" For even the man of
peace, in whom I
trusted, who ate My bread, hath greatly supplanted Me.
But Thou, O Lord, have mercy on Me, and raise Me up again. Thou hast upheld Me
by reason of My
innocence, and hast established Me in Thy sight forever. Blessed be the Lord the
God of Israel from
eternity to eternity. So be it. So be it.
